More Information on The New Media Literacies
In looking up more information on the New Media Literacies, I found that this staff is a research from MIT. It is part of a studies program that is trying to help younger children become associated with the growing world of social connecting.
It is to also teach a better understanding of how to become literate in this world that is so multicultural and fast-paced. I read over a syllabus from a course in this research by Henry Jenkins. He stated, "This knowledge will help us see into the media research and help journalists better understand shifts in how young people access and deply information."click here for the link to the website.

Wow, I didn't realize that this was a research team. That is very interesting Autumn. I definitely agree- this world is very fast paced and multicultural, and we had all better get a good firm grip on what's new with the web and how our schools can adapt.
ReplyDeleteThe New Media work at MIT has a long and storied tradition, including such luminaries as Seymour Papert and Nicholas Negroponte.
